Realize that you are a sinner and confess your sins to God.

The Bible says: "If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth.  But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.  If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts." (1 John 1:8-10 NLT)

"Don’t you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals,  thieves, greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and swindlers—none of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God.  There was a time when some of you were just like that, but now your sins have been washed away, and you have been set apart for God. You have been made right with God because of what the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God have done for you." (1 Corinthians 6:9-11 NLT)

Believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior.

The Bible says: "God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."  (John 3:16 NLT)

"All who believe in God’s Son have eternal life. Those who don’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life, but the wrath of God remains upon them.” (John 3:36 NLT)

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved." (Romans 10:9-10 NLT) 

Daily follow Jesus Christ as your Lord.

If you would like to have a relationship with God, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart: "Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner.  I believe you died for my sins.  Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life.  I confess you as my personal Lord and Savior.  Thank you for saving me.  Amen."

If you just prayed that prayer and meant it, Jesus Christ has now taken residence in your heart!  Your decision to follow Christ means God has forgiven you and that you will spend eternity in heaven.  To put your faith in action, be sure to spend time with God by reading your Bible, praying, going to church, and telling others about Christ.  God bless you as you daily live with Jesus.
